    THROWBACKNOLA: SUPER MARIO THROWBACK TRAINING VIDEO

    “It’s a-me, Mario!” Don’t miss the Super Mario Bros. Throwback on Friday August 6th at Republic New Orleans. Flow Tribe will play all their original tunes plus the iconic Super Mario Bros. theme songs! The first 100 people through the door get a FREE Mario press-on mustache, and we’ll have a huge Super Mario Bros. backdrop on the stage to take pictures in front of! Mario, Luigi, Peach, Toad, Yoshi — dress as your favorite character from the Mushroom Kingdom! Groups encouraged! We’ll bring the best dressed on stage for a costume contest — the person or group with the best crowd response wins a section and a bottle of the winner’s choice! Think you’re the best Super Mario player? At 1AM, we’ll have a Super Mario Brothers (NES) contest on multiple screens – the person who gets the farthest without getting a ‘Game Over’ wins a bottle of Fireball Whisky! Of course, Damion Yancy will play his classic retro set plus all your favorite Mario remixes! In honor of Mario’s Fireball power, we’re going to have $2 shots of Fireball Whisky all night long ($1 with a Throwback slap bracelet). As always, enjoy $2 High Life and $4 wells, solve a Rubik’s Cube for a free tab, and play the Throwback arcade with 40 retro games all night! Be one of the best-dressed, and we’ll also take your Polaroid and put it on the Throwback Wall of Fame. You’ll get a $30 bar tab for each Throwback that your picture stays up! Super Mario Bros.     Throwback is a club night for the live music crowd. Like an indie house party, Throwback has 80s 90s and indie music, weekly performances by local indie bands, retro decor, original Nintendo games and retro movies on the big screen, a free arcade with 40 classic games, really cheap drinks, and a hanging-with-the-friends atmosphere. Plus, solve a Rubik's cube and get a free tab! Dress to be retro or dress to be you. Every Friday at Republic New Orleans. 18+ | $5
