What's Up Downtown

June 6, 2008

Special Edition

DDD, LTC, and AFL to Host Sports Technology Digital Media Conference - TechNO Bowl

On July 27, New Orleans will host its second ArenaBowl Championship Game, but this year it's more than a game. The Arena Football League has partnered with local organizations--the DDD and the Louisiana Technology Council-- to present a series of events focused on the technology component of professional sports, an evolving set of tools and best practices that can be applied to almost any business you can imagine.

TechNO Bowl festivities will include behind-the-scenes tours of the New Orleans Arena during pre-game setup, a Friday night networking reception and a business-oriented luncheon and panel discussion that will uncover the money-making strategies of professional sports marketers who have mastered the latest Web 2.0 technologies.

Mark your calendar for July 25-26, 2008. Find out how the pro-sports industry has adapted to changes in technology - employing new media platforms, mobile advertising, and social networks to its advantage.
