TRAFFIC IMPACTED BY NORTH AMERICAN SUMMIT

Please be advised that traffic Downtown will be affected as leaders of the North American Summit arrive in New Orleans today.

To secure the area where the leaders are meeting, the following streets are closed to pedestrian and vehicular traffic until 3 p.m. tomorrow:

- Tchoupitoulas between Canal and Poydras
- South Peters between Canal and Poydras
- Gravier between South Peters and Magazine
- Natchez between Tchoupitoulas and Magazine
- Common between Tchoupitoulas and Magazine
- St. Charles Avenue between Poydras and Girod
- Camp between Poydras and Girod
- South Maestri between St. Charles and Camp
- North Maestri between St. Charles and Camp
- Carondelet between Girod and Poydras
- Lafayette between St. Charles and Baronne

Earlier this morning, I-10 between Kenner and New Orleans was closed in both directions to allow motorcades for President Bush to travel Downtown.

Mexican President Felipe Calderon and Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper will both arrive at Louis Armstrong International Airport later today.
