DESCRIPTION

A new coffee shop and cafe’ called Merchant has opened Downtown in The Maritime at the corner of Carondelet and Common. Owners Marcel Wisznia, architect and developer of The Maritime, and Rosario Tortorice Jr. say they intend for Merchant to be a place that coffee lovers will want to stay and enjoy not only the products, but also the experience.

Menu highlights include Illy coffees, pastries, crepes and light lunch fare. Merchant is currently open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. but the hours and menu may be extended for dinner along with wine, beer and specialty liquors.
