DESCRIPTION
The Saenger Theatre, built in 1929, is a spectacular example of Italian Renaissance architecture. Currently under renovation, The Saenger Theatre will re-open in 2013, with a seating capacity of approximately 2,800. The Saenger will double the available number of performance dates available in the New Orleans theater marketplace. The theatre will be home to numerous performing arts attractions including concerts and the Broadway in New Orleans series which will transfer from the Mahalia Jackson Theater.
