In addition to the economic development, cleaning and safety services of the Downtown Development District, the DDD also offers the following direct assistance programs to Downtown's stakeholders. To learn more about the programs, click the links to the right.

Facade Improvement Grant / Facade Micro Grant

The DDD's Facade Improvement Grant offers a matching grant of up to 50% ($20,000 maximum grant) of the cost of upgrading Downtown's building facades. In addition to the building facade grant, the DDD also offers a "Micro" grant to assist retailers in improving window displays.

The DDD installs and maintains street banners to add color, excitement and character to Downtown's light poles. The banners are located on Canal Street, Poydras Street, Convention Center Boulevard, Loyola Avenue, and in the Arts District on Julia and neighboring streets.

The DDD will match 50% of the cost of replacing sidewalks Downtown ($20,000 maximum grant).

As part of the DDD's overall efforts to curb graffiti Downtown, the DDD has instituted a program where private property owners can receive graffiti removal services for a reduced cost.
